Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy explains how the operator of OKIPO ("we") handles information in the iOS app "OKIPO: Alarm Clock & Wake Up" (the "App").
The two most important things first.
1. The App does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
2. Alarm names, your onboarding answers, barcode values, and camera video never leave your device. The only data that leaves your device is an anonymous ID and purchase records used to check your subscription (Section 4), and usage and crash data (Section 5).
1. Information we do not collect
- Name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Contacts, location, or Health (HealthKit) data
- The advertising identifier (IDFA). The App shows no ads and does not track you for advertising
- Payment information such as card numbers (payments are handled by Apple)
2. Information stored only on your device
To provide its features, the App stores the following on your device. None of it is sent to our servers.
- Alarm times, days, names, missions, and sounds
- Your answers to the onboarding questions (for example, what happens when your alarm goes off and when you usually get up)
- Your wake-up history (mission completed, emergency stop, or unconfirmed, with the date and time)
- The barcode value and nickname you registered for the Scan mission
- A log of how the App is used (only the items listed in Section 5 are sent)
This data is kept in the App's private storage and is deleted when you delete the App. You can also erase it anytime from Settings > "Delete all data" in the App.
3. Camera, motion sensors, and notifications
- Camera: used for Item Hunt (recognizing the day's household item), Scan (reading the barcode you registered), and Push-ups (detecting your body's up-and-down movement). Video is processed on your device in real time and is never saved or sent.
- Motion: used to count steps and shakes for the Walk and Shake missions. The values are used only on your device.
- Alarms: the App uses iOS's alarm feature (AlarmKit) to ring at the time you set.
- Notifications: used for wake-up checks and, if you agree, morning tips and special offers (only while you are not subscribed). You can turn these off anytime in Settings > "News from Okipo". All notifications are scheduled on your device; we do not use our own servers for them.
4. Subscription status (RevenueCat)
To check your subscription status, the App uses RevenueCat, Inc. The following is sent to RevenueCat:
- An anonymous ID that the App creates for each device (it does not identify you personally)
- Purchase records available from Apple, such as the product purchased and the dates of purchase, renewal, and cancellation
- Technical information such as country or region, app version, and device type
- Only if you installed the App from an App Store search ad (Apple Ads): an anonymous attribution token that Apple generates on your device (AdServices — which ad campaign and keyword you came from). This is separate from the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not identify you personally
This is used only to check subscription status and to measure sales, retention, and ad performance. RevenueCat's privacy policy (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy) applies to its handling of this data.
5. Usage and crash data (Google Firebase)
To improve the App (for example, where people get stuck in onboarding, which features are used, and why crashes happen), the App uses Firebase by Google LLC (Google Analytics for Firebase and Crashlytics). The following is sent:
- The same anonymous ID as in Section 4, and an anonymous ID created by Firebase for each device
- In-app events (how far you got in onboarding, opening the subscription screen, mission type and result, opening a notification, and so on) and whether you are subscribed
- Technical information when the App crashes (where it stopped, device type, iOS and app version)
- Approximate information such as country or region and language
We do not send alarm names, your onboarding answers, barcode values, camera video, or the advertising identifier (IDFA). This data is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other apps or websites. Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) applies to its handling of this data.
6. Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment information.
7. Sharing with third parties
We do not share your information with third parties except as required by law.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the update on this page.
